Day 1 Arrive Vancouver
Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to
Vancouver. Upon arrival, transfer to the Fairmont
Waterfront, directly facing the harbour. This evening
meet your Tauck Tour Director and new travelling
companions for a welcome reception and dinner.

Day 2 Vancouver & Victoria
This morning’s sightseeing tour of Vancouver
includes Stanley Park and Chinatown, two of the
city’s best loved attractions. This afternoon, take
the ferry to Vancouver Island where you spend
the next two nights in the quaint town of Victoria.
Vancouver Island is simply charming, with lots to
see and do just a short walk from the hotel.

Day 3 Vancouver Island
Today you journey north and visit famed Butchart
Gardens; with themed displays, it is a horticulturist’s
dream. The remainder of the day is free for you to
explore the sights of Victoria.

Day 4 Victoria & Flightseeing
Your morning is free to explore or visit Victoria’s
Royal BC Museum. This afternoon, fly by floatplane
over the Gulf Islands and back to Vancouver, where
you have time to explore the historic Gastown
district. Then it’s all aboard The Canadian for dinner
and a Champagne send-off, before commencing
your journey by rail into the Rockies.

Day 5 Canadian Rockies By Rail
Experience an incredible rail journey, from your seat
in the Panorama Car, aboard The Canadian. Towering
peaks and glaciers highlight your mountainous route.
Arrive for two nights at the Fairmont Jasper Park
Lodge in the heart of Jasper National Park.

Enjoy your day at leisure – biking, golfing, swimming
or simply absorbing the stunning mountain views.
For the more adventurous, try rafting on the
Athabasca River.

Day 7 Icefield Parkway
The Icefield Parkway, from Jasper to Lake Louise,
winds between snow-domed peaks and immense
hanging glaciers. Ride in a specially designed Ice
Explorer vehicle on the Athabasca Glacier, part
of the Columbia Icefields, the largest mass of ice
outside the Arctic Circle.

Day 8 Banff
Spend the morning at leisure indulging in the
recreational opportunities that Lake Louise
affords, before taking the picture-postcard
journey to Banff National Park. The discovery of
the Cave and Hot Spring Basin by Canadian Pacific
Railway workers led to the park’s establishment
in the early 1880s. Your castle-like hotel for the
next two nights first opened in 1888 and is still
resplendent today.

Day 9 Bow River Valley
This morning you may choose to enjoy a float trip
along the river at Bow River Valley. The afternoon
is yours to explore Banff National Park; with 2,500
square miles of valleys, mountains, glaciers, meadows
and forests, it is simply stunning. This evening enjoy a
farewell dinner with your new friends.

Day 10 Journey Home
This morning, following breakfast, make the final
