Rocky Mountaineer promises to be a magical experience. With the spectacular
scenery of British Columbia and Alberta as a backdrop, every corner turned
brings into view another picture-perfect landscape. Following the historic train
route constructed over 100 years ago, the Rocky Mountaineer offers a choice
of four superb journeys, each showcasing the diverse beauty of Canada’s West.
SilverLeaf Service –
Enjoy delicious hot meals, served at your seat, as you
take your voyage through the Rockies. Your journey also includes tempting
snacks and complimentary beverages including wine, beer, spirits and
non-alcoholic drinks. The landscape is amazing, and in SilverLeaf you’ll enjoy
panoramic views in the single level glass domed cars. SilverLeaf Service
includes one night’s accommodation in Kamloops on First Passage to the
West and Journey through the Clouds routes and one night in both Whistler
and Quesnel on the Rainforest to Gold Rush route.
GoldLeaf Service –
The custom designed GoldLeaf Dome Car puts you
right in the centre of the awe-inspiring scenery and provides both excellent
commentary and superb personal service. Guests are welcomed onboard and
shown to their rotating and reclining dome-level seats, where complimentary
snacks and beverages are served. The gourmet breakfasts and lunches included
are served in the lower-level dining room. GoldLeaf Service includes upgraded
accommodation and transportation to the hotel.
1. First Passage to the West
Named for the pass over which it crosses, the train commences its journey
in Vancouver and traverses the Rocky Mountains, with an overnight stop in
Kamloops before reaching its final destination of Lake Louise or Banff. This route
also operates in the opposite direction. Passengers enjoying this two day route
will see Cisco Crossings, Avalanche Alley, Jaws of Death Gorge, Stoney Creek
Bridge, Kicking Horse River and Castle Mountain.
Operates: April to October
2. Journey through the Clouds
Begins in Vancouver and follows the same legendary journey to Kamloops,
where an overnight stop is taken, then takes a higher route through the
scenic valleys and Rocky Mountains to a final destination of Jasper. This
route also operates in the opposite direction. Known for the abundance
of wildlife and majestic Mount Robson, this two day route also includes
Thomson and Fraser Canyons, Pyramid Falls and Jasper National Park.
Operates: April to October.
3. Rainforest to Gold Rush
The Rainforest to Gold Rush route is a three day journey, commencing in
Vancouver. Day one follows the Sea to Sky Corridor to Whistler, where an
overnight stay is enjoyed. Day two follows the mighty Fraser River to Quesnel
where a second overnight stay is taken. On day three the train climbs through
the Rocky Mountain Trench and Cariboo Mountains to its ultimate destination
of Jasper. This route also operates in the opposite direction. The historic
Caribou Gold Rush region and the lush forests of northern British Columbia
are highlights of this route.

4. Coastal Passage
Coastal Passage commences its journey in Seattle, in Washington State, USA,
and has a destination of Vancouver. From here, it connects to First Passage to
The West, Journey through the Clouds and Rainforest to Gold Rush. This route
also operates in the opposite direction. The six hour journey hugs the Pacific
Coast and has numerous scenic highlights including Fraser River, White Rock,
Bellingham Bay and the Cascade Mountains.
