WESTERN CANADA – FLY DRIVE
Day 1 Arrive Vancouver
Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to
Vancouver. Upon arrival, transfer independently to
your hotel, where you spend the first two nights of
your adventure.

Day 2 Vancouver
We’ve included a full free day for you to explore
Vancouver, and there is plenty to keep you
entertained. Visit Stanley Park, covering over a
thousand acres, historic Gastown, with its myriad of
shopping and dining options, and perhaps take a trip
out of the city to Grouse Mountain or the Capilano
Suspension Bridge.

Days 3 & 4 Whistler
This morning collect your rental car and commence
your journey of discovery. Today’s short but
beautiful drive takes you along the scenic Sea to
Sky Highway to Whistler. Highlights along the way
include Shannon Falls and the Stawamus Chief Rock,
where climbers all over the world migrate to climb
the granite cliffs. Your hotel for the next two nights
is in the heart of the alpine valley.

Days 5, 6 & 7 Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast is one of the most beautiful
areas of British Columbia and today’s adventure
showcases it perfectly. Take the short drive to
Horseshoe Bay, where you board the ferry to
Langdale. From here you wind your way along the
coastline, enjoying the amazing views as you go.
Once in Half Moon Bay, there are so many choices
to keep you busy. Take a kayak or boat tour onto
the water, hike or bike the trails, explore the quaint
villages or take a floatplane ride for bird’s eye views.

Days 8 & 9 Parksville
Retrace your footsteps to Langdale this morning,
where you board the ferry back to Horseshoe Bay.
From here, you take the ferry across the channel
to Departure Bay on Vancouver Island. Just a
short drive north brings you to Parksville, your
base for the next two nights, where your hotel is
conveniently located to explore the area’s delights.

Days 10 & 11 Tofino
It’s a scenic journey from the east coast to the
west, through the Sawtooth Range of the Cascade
Mountains and majestic Sutton Pass. Stop off
at Sproat Lake, home to the world’s two largest
water-bombers which are used for the sole purpose
of extinguishing forest fires. Also take a stop at
Cathedral Grove to enjoy the splendour of the
800 year old Douglas Fir and Cedar trees. Tofino is
the gateway to the majestic Pacific Rim National
Park. Take a stroll along famed Long Beach, boasting
miles of pristine sandy beach and pounding surf.
During your stay, explore the rainforests’ well
groomed trails or take a boat tour through
Clayquot Sound.

Days 12 & 13 Victoria
Today your drive takes you to the south of
Vancouver Island and to its capital city of Victoria.
En route we suggest a stop at Chemainus, where
you can admire the giant murals adorning exterior
walls throughout the town, and Duncan, known
as The City of Totems. Once in Victoria, explore
the imposing facades of the Parliament Buildings,
St. Ann’s Academy and nearby Butchart Botanical
Gardens. The historic old town is ideal for soaking
up Victoria’s atmosphere and visiting the myriad of
boutiques, museums, galleries and cafés.

Day 14 Vancouver
This morning you leave Victoria for a short and
leisurely drive to Swartz Bay, where you make the
return 95 minute crossing to Tsawwassen on the
mainland. This afternoon you have the opportunity
to experience any of Vancouver's attractions
that you didn’t manage to see at the start of
your itinerary.

Day 15 Journey Home
Today you return your rental car to Vancouver
International Airport and check-in for your flight
back to the UK.
