Canada’s Eastern Explorer

EASTERN CANADA – FLY DRIVE

Day 1 Arrive Toronto

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to

Toronto, collect your rental car and proceed to

your hotel.

Hotel: Fairmont Royal York

Days 2 & 3 Toronto

The cosmopolitan city of Toronto is a delight to

visit. Great food, wonderful shopping and a wide

array of attractions will keep you entertained. Visit

the multi-cultural neighbourhoods of Chinatown,

Little Italy and Greektown in addition to the

spectacular SkyDome, Royal Ontario Museum and

CN Tower.

Hotel: Fairmont Royal York

Days 4 & 5 Niagara Falls

Heading south takes you past the orchards and

vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula. Stop in the

historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and try the

Whirlpool Jet Boat tour before continuing along

the Niagara Parkway. We suggest a boat tour to

view Horseshoe Falls, but prepare to get wet!

Hotel: Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa

Days 6 & 7 Huntsville

Today, head north through scenic rural villages,

where we suggest a stop at Muskoka Pioneer

Village en route. Huntsville is located on the edge

of Algonquin National Park, a beautiful setting with

a wide array of recreational activities available.

Hike the trails and waterways of the National Park

or enjoy some of the activities available at your

hotel, such as golf, tennis and horse riding.

Hotel: Deerhurst Resort

Day 8 Ottawa

Perhaps enjoy some more time at Algonquin National

Park before taking the short drive to Ottawa.

Canada’s capital city, Ottawa is an impressive yet

intimate multicultural city. It is filled with national

and historic sites, has a very walkable downtown

and boasts a beautiful natural setting which supports

year-round recreation. Every stay should include a

visit to Parliament Hill to see the changing of the

guard ceremony, as well as the Canadian Museum of

Civilization, Canadian Museum of Nature, National

Gallery of Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted

Police stables.

Hotel: Fairmont Château Laurier

Days 9 & 10 Mont-Tremblant

Today you head north into the splendid Laurentian

Mountains. No matter what time of year you visit,

there is always plenty to keep you entertained,

from skiing and hiking to horse riding and rafting.

Keep your eyes open for the resident wildlife! The

picturesque village of Mont-Tremblant offers great

restaurants and small boutiques to peruse.

Hotel: Fairmont Tremblant

Days 11 & 12 Montreal

A short drive today leaves you with lots of time

to enjoy Montreal. Explore the underground

walkways, connecting shops, hotels and

restaurants, or sit back and watch the world go by

at one of the sidewalk cafés. No visit is complete

without visiting Notre-Dame Basilica, Place

d’Armes, Mount Royal Park and the wonderful

Biodome de Montreal.

Hotel: Le St-Martin Hotel Particulier Montreal

15 Days/14 Nights

• Begins in Toronto and ends in Quebec City

• Departures year round

Your fly drive includes:

• Round trip scheduled flights

• Intermediate 4 door car hire, including

insurances and satellite navigation

• Personalised Road Book (see page 6)

Days 13 & 14 Quebec City

Follow the St. Lawrence River northeast to

enchanting Quebec City. We suggest a stop at

Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Canada’s shrine to the Virgin

Mary. Québec City provides a fascinating urban

experience, where the old complements the new

unlike anywhere else in Canada. The Lower Town

is a living museum of narrow cobbled streets

and 17th and 18th century houses, all accented

by beautiful French/Canadian architecture. This

city is also wonderfully cosmopolitan, alive

with an abundance of sidewalk cafés, fine dining

restaurants, eclectic shopping and stylish hotels.

The majestic St. Lawrence River meanders right

through its centre, providing wonderful outdoor

opportunities from energetic running and biking

routes to picnics and romantic strolls. The

Fortifications, Place Royal and the Basilica

are all must-sees.

Hotel: Hotel 71

Day 15 Journey Home

Make the journey back to Quebec Airport where

you return your rental car to the depot and

check-in for your flight back to the UK.
