1. Haunted Walks
Departs: Toronto, Ottawa and Kingston, from January to December
Ghosts, graveyards, hangings and haunts, Haunted Walks take you on
spine-tingling ghost stories around Toronto, Ottawa and Kingston. Prepare to
be chilled to the bone with stories of haunted theatres, wrongful hangings,
trickster ghosts, duels to the death, hidden burial grounds and distressed
spirits. Generally taking between one and two hours, each location offers a
choice of tours, each with a different theme, and each pertinent to the city.
In Ottawa, choose from the Original Haunted Walk, The Great Ghost
Adventure, Crime and Punishment Jail Tour or Ghosts and Gallows. The
historic city of Kingston has a fabled past which can be discovered on the
Original Haunted Walk. Alternatively, you can hear the eerie tales of Fort
Henry on Ghosts of the Fort. Toronto’s Ghosts and Spirits of the Distillery
tour takes place on its cobblestone streets, whilst the Original Haunted Walk
showcases theatrical hauntings and unsolved mysteries.
2. 1000 Islands Helicopter Tours
Departs: Gananoque, from January to December
There is no better way of viewing the spectacular Thousand Islands than
from the skies. Feel the excitement as you gently take flight, accompanied by
personal narration of the region shared by your experienced pilot. Ranging
in duration from ten minutes to an hour, choose from five tours each
showcasing a different aspect of the area. For a longer experience, try one
of the packages which include helicopter flights and ground arrangements.

Departs: Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, from April to November

Rapids to the Whirlpool, just a half mile from the tumbling rapids of Niagara
Falls, with Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours. Departing from Niagara-on-the-Lake,
the enclosed Jet Dome boat thrills its passengers on a bouncy ride, but the
more adventurous must try the Wet Jet with added splash.
4. OWL Whitewater Rafting
Departs: Forester Falls, from May to September
Northwest of the nation’s capital, the Ottawa River surges across Canadian
Shield country. This is a path forged by First Nations, traversed by fur traders
since the 1600s and fostered by foresters at the turn of the last century.
Today you can visit for a white-water adventure, enjoying a day-long rafting
experience through the dynamic Rocher Fendu Rapids. With options available
to suit everyone, choose a gentle family friendly float which meanders calmly
down the river, or pick an adrenaline ride on the high-adventure white-water
tour which can see up to Class IV rapids.
