The list of reasons to choose Eastern

Canada for your next holiday is

almost endless. Aside from Niagara

Falls, Ontario offers cosmopolitan

cities, vineyards, wide open spaces,

quaint small towns and a stunning

natural landscape of mountains,

rivers and valleys. Quebec is equally

charming. The provinces je ne sais

quoi French style is evident in the

language, culture and cuisine. Expect

history-rich cities, wide open spaces

and 1,800 miles of coastline.

Eastern Canada

for one of the many wineries where a tour and

tasting make for a perfect afternoon’s relaxation.

This province is bordered by the Great Lakes of

Superior, Huron, Erie and Ontario; together with

countless rivers and smaller lakes, and of course the

St. Lawrence River’s spectacular Thousand Island

Region. This wonderland makes a great water-based

playground with activities which include fishing,

scuba diving and kayaking. On dry land, there’s

biking and trekking through the 110 Provincial and

National Parks and, in winter, snowshoeing, skiing,

snowmobiling and dog sledding.

QUEBEC

When the French explorer, Jacques Cartier, landed

on the Gaspé Peninsula in 1535, Quebec’s French

Heritage began. Quebec City and Montreal are two

of Canada’s most appealing, as well as largest, cities.

Gracious Quebec City was founded in the 17th

century, and its charming streets remain lined with

magnificent 17th and 18th century houses. It’s little

wonder that the entire city is a World Heritage

ONTARIO

Ontario epitomises city chic. Ottawa, Canada’s

capital city sits on the Ontario and Quebec border;

and is home to a number of excellent museums and

galleries and regularly hosts atmospheric special

events. Toronto is Ontario’s provincial capital and

a great choice for a city break in its own right, with

an astonishing multi-cultural population that shapes

its vibrant atmosphere and provides a stellar range

of restaurants. Both cities have attractions galore to

keep you entertained.

No visit to Ontario would be complete without a

visit to Niagara Falls, where you can get up close to

the six million cubic feet of water dropping at close

to 200 feet per second. Fly over in a helicopter for

a bird’s eye view, don a fetching waterproof and

feel the force of the water on a Whirlpool Jet Boat

Tour, or take a more slow-paced boating experience.

Escape the roar with a visit to nearby Niagara-on-

the-Lake, a chocolate-box pretty town with quaint

boutique shops and friendly sidewalk cafes, or head
