Location

Sitting on the shores of Kicking Horse River, amid the tall spruce

and pine trees of Yoho National Park, Cathedral Mountain Lodge is

located in Field in the spectacular Rocky Mountain region.

Accommodation

Surrounding the grand timber-framed main lodge are 31 hand-crafted

log cabins. With spectacular views of either the Kicking Horse River

or surrounding mountains, each cosy cabin combines a rustic country

décor with great amenities including coffee-makers, mini-refrigerators

and Aveda bathroom products. Choose from a Deluxe cabin, an

upgraded Premier cabin which boasts a wood-burning stone fireplace

or a Premier Loft cabin which are ideal for families, offering both a

queen and twin beds. In-keeping with the serenity of its surroundings,

there are no televisions or telephones in the cabins.

Facilities

Cathedral Mountain Lodge’s close proximity to Yoho, Banff and

Kootenay National Parks ensures you have abundant recreation on

your doorstep. An Adventure Specialist is on hand to assist in planning

your day, suggesting the best wildlife viewing, cultural experiences

and activities in the area. The Riverside Dining Room serves gourmet

cuisine, with an emphasis on locally-sourced ingredients. The Lodge is

open from May to October.

Location

This pretty lodge is located on the banks of Kispiox River, at the

foot of Baldy Mountain. It provides an excellent base from which

to explore northwest British Columbia; an area renowned for its

bear, moose and wolf population, abundance of salmon fishing and

incredible mountain vistas. The Lodge collects guests from Smithers

Airport, which is 90 minutes away, or you can take the scenic three

hour drive from Prince Rupert.

Accommodation

With only eight guestrooms, you are guaranteed the most personalised

service. Each room is unique in design, but you can expect local

artwork, hand-crafted bedframes evoking the aroma of fresh cedar, and

a patio or balcony offering wonderful views of Kispiox River or Baldy

Mountain. Some rooms offer a king bed, but most have two queen

beds, making it an ideal choice for families.

Facilities

A stay at Bear Claw Lodge is all about outdoor adventure. A wide

range of activities including river expeditions and float trips, salmon

fishing with an experienced guide and horse riding across the beautiful

countryside can all be arranged. At the end of an action packed day,

relax in the dining room with a beautifully prepared meal. There is also

an indoor hot tub, Cedar sauna and games room for guest enjoyment.
