When night falls the celestial array will make you star-struck. Jasper National Park is one of the world’s largest Dark Sky Preserves.

Alberta is rich with fresh glacier water and vast fields of grain, giving Calgary-based distilleries a delicious advantage when it comes to making farm-to-glass craft spirits. Calgary’s local craft distilleries push the boundaries when it comes to flavour and experimentation. 

To sum up this city, Toronto brims with energy and excitement, whilst also boasting spots of peace and quiet, from the beautiful waterfront to lush green spaces around the city. Expect state-of-the-art architecture, iconic attractions, world-renowned museums, intriguing galleries, as well as award-winning restaurants and a bustling nightlife.

Toronto is a city like no other. Soak up the atmosphere as you wander one of Toronto’s many neighbourhoods. Venture to the top of the CN Tower for a gourmet dinner in the clouds or Edge Walk, or keep your feet firmly on the ground as you peruse chic boutiques, famous name department stores, designer shops and colourful markets. There is something for everyone in Ontario. Its open roads lead to the breathtaking scenery of lakes, forests, valleys, vineyards and orchards, quaint country towns and big city entertainment. The more adventurous will want to head to Ontario’s Northwest and Northest where remote lodges beckon for adrenaline fuelled activities, First Nations culture and wonderful wildlife experiences.

The changing landscapes of Oregon, offer a wealth of breath-taking vistas and a myriad of activities and experiences. The northest corner hosts deep gorges, meandering rivers and wide-open spaces, it is natural cowboy country. 

Hells Canyon, plunging more than a mile below Oregon’s west rim and 8000ft below snowcapped He Devile Peak, was carved by the great Snake River, and is America’s deepest river gorge. This awe-inspiring spot attracts white-water rafters, hikers, jet boaters and anyone yearning for time in the wilderness. Its steep terrain, rocky slopes, and the wonderfully scenic river, make it a challenge, but one well worth the effort. Be on the lookout for bear, elk, mule deer, big horn sheep, and eagles as well as wildflowers, ancient pictographs, and log cabins left by prospectors, miners, and 19th-century settlers.

It doesn’t get much more beautiful than coastal Oregon. Thanks to a pioneering beach bill, all 363 miles of Oregon’s coastline remain free and public. That means endless opportunities to comb for agates or glass floats, catch your own Dungeness crab or razor clam, watch for whales, seals and puffins, make footprints in the sand or simply be captivated by a winter storm from inside a cozy beachfront lodge. 

A trip down the Oregon Coast’s Highway 101 isn’t complete without stopping to view its historic lighthouses. You can see most of these iconic structures from the highway, but consider a slight detour to visit the sites and learn a little about the lighthouse keepers and their families, who worked some of the most remote locations under harsh conditions. On the Southern Oregon Coast, scenic rivers are wilder, beaches are less crowded and trails offer more rugged terrain. If you’re looking for outdoor adventures, secluded beaches, artistic communities and fresh coastal cuisine, the Oregon Coast make a great selection.

With mountains and valleys, beautiful lakes and rushing rivers all guarded by those signature pine trees, Maine is an outdoor paradise. However, the real appeal of Maine is its spectacular rugged coastline – nearly 3,500 miles of jagged headlands, secret coves, charming fishing villages and peppered with lighthouses which are a Maine trademark. Here the Atlantic surges past thousands of little islands to crash onto granite rocks.

To hike in Maine is to introduce yourself to the state, one step at a time. You breathe in the salt as you round a corner in Acadia National Park, or hoist yourself up a steep pitch on a mountain in western Maine. Everything is slow, deliberate, and linked with the land. There are great hikes throughout Maine, on federal lands like Acadia, in state parks such as Mt. Blue, and along the East Coast’s longest walk, the Appalachian Trail.

Yukon is one of North America’s most impressive wilderness destinations – a vast landscape of majestic mountains, rich evergreen forests and emerald green lakes. Imagine experiencing these beautiful vistas away from bustling tourist trails and combining them with historic ‘gold rush’ locations, the ethereal display of the Northern Lights and an unimaginable array of wildlife. Canada’s Yukon territory is an unspoilt land of breath-taking proportion and a destination of unmistakable beauty.
