Sheraton Hotel & Spa, AnchorageAfter a morning sightseeing in Talkeetna, you will drive the Talkeetna Spur Road back to the Parks Highway and continue north toward Denali. Denali National Park is one of the world’s last great frontiers for wilderness adventure. Enjoy an eight hour bus tour into Denali National Park which takes your through around 53 miles/88km of the park. The park is inhabited by many different animal species. With luck, you may see bears, caribou, moose, sheep, wolves and a variety of birds. Mountain Denali might be seen if the weather is clear today. You will have some free time in Denali over the two days so why not enjoy one of the optional activities at the park entrance area such as water rafting. Your hotel is located at the park entrance, where most of the park services and hotels can be found.
Grande Denali Lodge, Denali National ParkToday you will drive the Parks Highway north to Fairbanks. Accompanied by incredible forest and mountain landscape you will drive through the communities of Healy, Nenana and by the community Ester, an old mining camp. Explore Alaska’s second largest city, also known as the ‘Gateway to the Arctic’ at your leisure. You may wish to add an optional activity, such as a tour over the Arctic Circle or a historical riverboat cruise. Attractions in Fairbanks include the Museum of the North, Pioneer Park, the Ice Museum, and the Santa Claus House in the nearby town of North Pole.
Pike's Waterfront Lodge, FairbanksToday you will drive southeast on the Alaska/Canada Highway to the border town of Tok. You will pass through the quaint towns of the North Pole and Delta Junction. There are views of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and the Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge along the route.
The Top of the World Highway brings you through spectacular backcountry and gold mining areas into Canada’s Yukon Territory. When the highway reaches its highest elevation, incredible views into far-reaching countryside open up. Before you reach Dawson City, you cross the Yukon River by state ferry. Upon arrival in Dawson City, you might feel you just landed in a different century! Experience the old Klondike in its well-kept color and fame.
Aurora Inn, Dawson CityToday you will traverse along the Klondike Highway southeast to Yukon’s capital city, Whitehorse. Your drive takes you through the interior of the territory, following the mighty Yukon River. Whitehorse’s rich Gold Rush history provides character to the city. The city of Whitehorse has wonderful restaurants and shops featuring local arts and crafts. Nearby hot springs, hikes, and river tours make Whitehorse a perfect stop on this driving tour.

It is another of Alaska’s spectacular highways with Emerald Lake, Carcross desert and the small community of Carcross. The Yukon River Suspension Bridge provides excitement and scenic views from high above the river. Cross the Alaska/Canada border and continue to Skagway. This tiny town is part of Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park.
Historic Skagway Inn, SkagwayToday, you will take a scheduled small plane flight from Skagway to Juneau. On a clear weather day, you may have some amazing views. After arrival in Juneau, transfer to hotel on own. Your hotel will be located in downtown Juneau. Rest of the day is yours to explore. Juneau attractions include the Mt. Roberts Tram, the State of Alaska Museum, and the Mendenhall Glacier.
Aspen Suites Hotel, JuneauYou will take an early morning flight from Juneau to Gustavus. Then depart on an eight hour cruise of Glacier Bay National Park. A National Park Service Ranger is onboard to provide information on the park, its glaciers, and wildlife. Keep an eye out for puffins, eagles, sea lions, sea otters, and possibly whales, bears and more! Lunch is included on the boat. You will then fly back to Juneau in the afternoon/evening, where you will have the evening and the following day to enjoy at your own leisure.
