Embark on a journey back to the era of the Old West with this tour from South Lake Tahoe to Virginia City, Nevada, featuring a scenic train ride on the Virginia & Truckee Railroad. Accompanied by a guide, your day trip begins with a minibus ride along a portion of the historic Pony Express route. Upon arrival in Virginia City, a designated National Historic Landmark District, you will enjoy a 6.5-mile round-trip train ride. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to explore the town at your own pace, with options to visit museums or a historical saloon.
