If you are feeling energetic, the cycle paths roam through public art, protected parks and riverside districts. The neighbourhoods of Inglewood and Kensington are also worth a visit. Having staged the 1988 Winter Olympics, Calgary has a superb Winter Sports Museum. Located 191 metres above the downtown core, Calgary Tower offers the best view in the city and is a must-see on any visitor’s itinerary. Other options include the Canadian Wild West at Heritage Park, Calgary Zoo, Botanical Gardens and Prehistoric Park.

Fairmont Palliser, CalgaryThis morning you will collect your rental car and make the journey through the spell-binding Rocky Mountains to Jasper. En route enjoy Icefield Parkway, one of the world’s most spectacular mountainous drives. A visit to the Columbia Icefield for an Ice Explorer ride out onto the glacier is an absolute must.
We have allowed three nights to explore more of Mother Nature’s incredible beauty. With thousands of pristine acres and a small population, Jasper is the ultimate place to view wildlife in their natural surroundings. Elk, deer, bear, moose, and mountain goats are just a sample of the many wild animals roaming the park, so whatever you do, don’t forget your camera.

You will not be dissapointed with your stay in the provincial capital of Alberta. You have three nights to explore this wonderful city, which is unique in many ways including being home to the world’s largest shopping centre, West Edmonton Mall. The mall offers an expansive water park, amusement park, indoor skating rink, mini golf park, and over 800 stores. A great way to see Edmonton is on one of the many city sightseeing tours, whether by coach, Segway or on foot. A vibrant scene year round, Edmonton enjoys blooming spring buds, breathtaking lush summer greenery, stunning autumn colours and a snowy winter wonderland. Don’t miss the walking trails and parks of the downtown River Valley, and the eclectic shops and cafes of Whyte Avenue.

Fairmont Hotel Macdonald, EdmontonToday you will make the three drive back to Calgary. Depending on your flight time you may have time for some last-minute sightseeing en route. Once at Calgary International Airport, you will return your rental car and check-in for your flight back to the UK.
