Mountain Lakes & Waterfalls, from Canmore
Kananaskis & Canmore
ALBERTA
DEPARTS: CANMORE
Some of the most dramatic views of Western Canada can only be experienced from the sky. Alpine Helicopters have been operating scenic flights for over 50 years. They offer exemplary service and a choice of tours from two locations – Canmore and Kananaskis.
Three Sisters Peaks Tour – 25 minutes
Your adventure will take you between the Three Sisters peaks, Hope, Faith and Charity as you spectacularly escape to the Spray Valley. Along the way you will see the magnificent Goat Range where you will observe radiant aqua-turquoise colours of the Spray lakes and rugged peaks of the Rockies. Your return flight will provide views of Wind Ridge and the Bow River as it meanders back towards the Town of Canmore.
Mt. Assiniboine Tour – 35 minutes
This sensational flight incorporates the sights of the Three Sisters tour and transports you to the “Matterhorn of the Rockies” our Mnt Assiniboine which rises majestically to 3,611meters (11,870 feet). Swoop around the surrounding glaciers and icefalls that will astound you. Get up close and personal with the Assiniboine and Gloria glaciers as they tumble off the mountains and realize how Marvel Lake got its name. It is the crown glory of the great divide.
Continental Divide Tour – 45 minutes
The Continental Divide Tour is not only an extension of the 3 Sisters and Mnt Assiniboine tours, it takes you deeper into the continental divide in the south of Banff National Park. You will see the divide peaks in the Sundance and Goat ranges and the alpine meadows and pristine lakes hidden there. The Continental Divide Tour is truly a rocky mountain experience not to be missed.
Marvel Pass Tour – 55 minutes (Private Tour)
Located on the south west border of Banff National Park, Marvel Pass has long been a favorite spot for that special private moment. Flying south from Canmore you will pass the Three Sisters Peaks, fly over the Spray Valley and past the famous Mount Assiniboine. Our pilot takes you in for a close-up look at hanging glaciers before heading south to Marvel Pass, where you will set down at 7,200 feet close to Aurora Lake, surrounded by Larch trees, small lakes and towering peaks. This spectacular location offers breathtaking vistas which are perfect for marriage proposals. You can spend up to 20 minutes at this location before re-boarding for your return flight to our Canmore base.
