Indulge in the local culinary scene, savouring iconic Mardi Gras treats such as King Cake—a sweet, colourful pastry adorned in purple, green, and gold.

On Fat Tuesday, the final day of the Carnival season, celebrations reach their peak with vibrant parades, parties, and a spirit of indulgence before the beginning of Lent. Participants often wear colourful costumes and masks, embodying the festive atmosphere. Music, dancing, and street performances abound, particularly in the French Quarter and along parade routes.

Journey Home

Depending on your flight time, you may have time for some last-minute sightseeing or some all-important souvenir shopping before returning to New Orleans Airport and checking in for your flight back to the UK.
