Day 1

Arrive Vancouver

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Vancouver. Upon arrival, you will independently make your way to the Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown. The evening is yours to explore Vancouver as you please. 


Day 2

Vancouver

Today you’ll have the chance to discover why Vancouver consistently ranks as one of the world’s most livable cities. Spend time in the city centre and you’ll be surrounded by laidback locals as you discover colourful, unique downtown neighbourhoods like the beachside West End area, hip Gastown, upscale Yaletown, and historic Chinatown. Then, join your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception in the evening. 


Day 3

Vancouver Island

This morning, delve into the historic neighbourhoods of Chinatown and Gastown before boarding a ferry to Vancouver Island. Dive into Culture and taste local cider at a family-owned cider house, before continuing to Victoria.

Day 4

Butchart Gardens, Victoria

Today on your Canadian Rockies tour, the Garden City comes to life as you greet the day before opening hours with breakfast at Butchart Gardens, a 55-acre showcase of gorgeous floral gardens that have colourfully transformed a once unused quarry. After breakfast, enjoy time in the garden before the crowds. Spend the rest of the day exploring the walkable capital of British Columbia perhaps treating yourself to high tea or tucking into local fish and chips. Or, join an optional Victoria Whale Watching cruise and keep your eyes peeled for orca and humpback whales, bald eagles, porpoises and seals.

Day 5

Chemainus, Squamish, and Whistler

See the vivid murals of Chemainus. Board a ferry and then take the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway. Ascend to Summit Lodge, admiring the views from the Sea-to-Sky Gondola.

Day 6

Whistler

Enjoy an insightful MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience and learn about the First Nations at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. Get a first-hand look into the traditional way of life of the original inhabitants of the area and their collection of artefacts and contemporary pieces led by Aboriginal Ambassadors who share their own stories and first-hand cultural experiences. After lunch at the Centre, enjoy your time at leisure.

Day 7

Sun Peaks

Today you will proceed towards Sun Peaks, where you will have the pleasure of dining at a distinguished local restaurant. This experience promises to offer not only a delectable meal but also an opportunity to savour the unique culinary delights of the region.

Day 8

Glacier, Yoho National Park & Banff

Drive through Glacier & Yoho National Park en route to Banff. Sample the best of the UNESCO-listed Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks. The excitement of Canada’s highest suspension bridges awaits at the Golden Skybridge! Explore canyon ridge walking trails with sweeping views of the Columbia Valley and the Rocky and Purcell mountain ranges. You’ll then overnight in beautiful Banff National Park.


Day 9

Banff

Your morning is at leisure, perhaps do an optional gondola ride or explore on your terms. Later in the morning, you will have your orientation tour of Banff National Park. This evening, meet a Mountie dressed in a traditional red serge uniform and hear about their exciting history before enjoying dinner.


Day 10

Athabasca Glacier

Begin your day with a scenic lakeside walk at the picturesque Lake Louise, taking in the serene beauty of the surroundings. Following this, embark on an exhilarating journey aboard an Ice Explorer, traversing the majestic Athabasca Glacier. Afterwards, continue your drive along the breathtaking Icefields Parkway, ultimately arriving at your overnight destination in Jasper.

Day 11

Jasper

Embark on an invigorating guided walk to Maligne Canyon. Board a narrated cruise on Maligne Lake (seasonal) stopping at Spirit Island. Travel on to Jasper and this evening join Patricia Bauer for a one-of-a-kind Be My Guest experience, on traditional First Nations land. Learn how to make curated drink bitters from foraged ingredients, enjoy a designer cocktail and listen to stories and drumming over dinner.

Day 12

Kamloops

After your scenic drive from Jasper to the old railroad town of Kamloops, be sure to take a short ride on the steam locomotive to explore the city and its beautiful surroundings. Alternatively, take a guided heritage tour, hearing stories of train robbers and local artists whilst taking in the historic buildings that make up this city.

Day 13

Vancouver

Drive from Kamloops, traversing dramatic mountain landscapes en route to the picturesque coastal city of Vancouver, famously known as “Hollywood North.” Upon your arrival in Vancouver, you have the remainder of the day free to spend as you wish. This is an excellent opportunity to visit any major attractions you may have missed earlier in your trip, or to indulge in some much-needed shopping.


Day 14

Journey Home

Your journey concludes today, not before one final hearty breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Vancouver before transferring to Vancouver International Airport for your return flight to the UK.
