White Pocket Tour – This guided hike through Vermilion Cliffs National Monument is ideal for serious photographers. Located at an elevation of 6,000 feet, White Pocket provides cooler temperatures compared to surrounding areas. Accessing this remote location requires a 4×4 SUV, followed by a 1-2 hour hike over uneven terrain. The tour is well-suited for those comfortable with rugged conditions. Fruit and bottled water are included. Length: 2-3 Miles. Difficulty: Easy.

White Wave Tour – Starting in Water Canyon, the trail ascends past the scenic Water Canyon Arch before reaching the top, where you’ll glimpse the distant White Waves. The route continues through a wash lined with Ponderosa pines, eventually arriving at the White Waves, offering stunning views of Zion, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, and Grand Staircase-Escalante. Length: 10 miles. Difficulty: Moderate. 

Buckskin Trailhead – This is an all-day canyon hike with the option to venture out of the wash and onto rock formations that rival The Wave and White Pockets. This area is unlimited in its photo potential and is a “must” for those interested in Southern Utah landscapes. Length: 3-6 miles. Difficulty: Easy/moderate.

Buckskin Wirepass TrailheadThis section of Buckskin is the perfect choice if you are looking for slot canyons with excellent light for photography. A scenic shortcut into the Buckskin Gulch can be had from the Wire Pass trailhead. There is plenty of photo potential in this narrow section, and it’s an easy walk for all ages. Length: 4-6 miles. Difficulty: Easy.

Buckskin Middle RouteThis hike is for the more adventurous guests. From the trailhead’s beginning, this tour requires navigating down into the Gulch revealing views of White Pockets, North Coyote Buttes, South Coyote Buttes, and large parts of the Buckskin itself. Length: 5-8 miles. Difficulty: Moderate/hard.

Buckskin Double TroubleThis is a combined hike to both the Wire Pass and Buckskin trailheads, providing an epic day of desert slot canyon hiking and large open vistas to please photographers. You will experience an area with more unusual rocks and soft sandstone walls than on any other hike. Length: 6-8 miles. Difficulty: Moderate.

The Tee Pees – The hike to the Teepee formations is ideal in spring, fall, and winter, though summer temperatures can be challenging unless started early. The round-trip hike takes 1-2 hours each way, depending on fitness and trail conditions, primarily involving sandy terrain. The two towering, photogenic Teepee rock formations are worth the effort, offering a secluded experience with minimal crowds year-round. Length: 4-6 miles. Difficulty: Moderate/hard.

Grand Staircase-Escalante Tour – This tour is tailored for those more focused on photography than hiking. You’ll be driven through the heart of Grand Staircase-Escalante, showcasing its stunning landscapes. Throughout the day, multiple viewpoints and stops provide diverse photography opportunities. Difficulty: Very easy.

Yellow Rock Tour – This lesser-known destination offers a unique hiking experience. Reaching Yellow Rock requires a short but steep quarter-mile climb at a 45-degree angle. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with expansive views of the vibrant sandstone, spanning nearly five football fields. While reaching the summit is optional, it provides stunning vistas of Cottonwood Road, the Cockscomb, Castle Rock, and more. Length: 1 mile. Difficulty: Moderate.

Peek-a-Boo Slot Tour – Although smaller, this canyon offers photography opportunities comparable to more renowned locations in Utah and Arizona. With minimal crowds, guests can enjoy a more relaxed and unhurried experience for walking and capturing photos. The ideal lighting is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Length: 3 miles. Difficulty: Easy
