Diamondback Gulch Jeep Tour From Sedona

  • 3 Hours
  • All year round

This exhilarating Sedona off-road adventure is a rugged 4×4 outback journey into high desert terrain and steep grand arroyos. You’ll get a glimpse of Arizona’s ranching past, expansive views of Red Rock country and a thrilling descent into Diamondback Gulch. Departing from Uptown Sedona, your Guide will share area facts and folklore while pointing out iconic red-rock formations. You’ll pass scenic Boynton Canyon—a setting for the 1947 John Wayne Film, “Angel and the Badlands.” You’ll snake through Coconino National Forest along the remote, rugged Greasy Spoon trail. This century-old trail is part of the original wagon route between Sedona and Prescott. Imagine a time when Sedona’s backcountry was wild, the cattle roamed and cowboys reigned. Soon, the rocky terrain of the Sidewinder Trail falls into Diamondback Gulch, a deep ravine that slices through the land. Tighten your seatbelt; you’re about to see what the Pink Jeep Wranglers can do! Hold on as the experienced guide expertly navigates the steep descent into the chasm before climbing out again. Expansive views greet you on the other side. The fiery red-rock trail contrasts against a brilliant blue sky and the Sonoran desert landscape. Mingus Mountain and the Black Hills appear in the distance, standing watch over the peaceful Verde Valley.
