Iconic Scottsdale

Scottsdale’s story begins in Old Town, where you’ll find cultural influences of the area’s first Native American residents, as well as the cowboys, ranchers, and artists who settled here in the late 1800s. Throughout Old Town, contemporary museums, fine art galleries and chef-driven restaurants happily coexist with historic landmarks that offer you a glimpse into Scottsdale’s colourful past.

Scottsdale sits in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, the most verdant and biologically diverse desert in North America. The mountains, rivers, and lush expanses of cacti-studded landscapes provide the perfect setting for outdoor adventures of any kind. Why not take a guided tour? Taking you away from the beaten path into pristine valleys and canyons.

You may choose to enjoy a taste of the Old West by horseback on a morning trail ride through the McDowell Mountain foothills. If you prefer to hike or bike Scottsdale is also your paradise – with a bountiful network of well-maintained trails, including those at Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Pinnacle Peak Park, and Camelback Mountain.
