Saratoga Springs

“Health, History, Horses,” has been the well-known slogan of charming Saratoga Springs for many decades. Saratoga Springs is one of those special getaway spots where everything is close to perfect. The city’s lovely tree-lined streets and grand old Victorian homes with porch swings swaying and gardens brimming with colourful flora bring to mind a gentler era.

World-class horse racing, renowned performing arts, and natural springs spas, plus 13 golf courses, 10 museums, a historic battlefield, fabulous boutiques, antiques, and restaurants mean there is something for everyone. Relax at the Lincoln Mineral Baths, a window shop in town and then it’s off to the races. Walk everywhere, it’s that kind of place—one of the oldest tourist destinations in the United States.

Albany

At the heart of Albany lies its historic downtown area, characterised by stunning architecture dating back to the colonial era. The city’s skyline is punctuated by landmarks such as the New York State Capitol Building, a magnificent example of 19th-century Romanesque architecture, and the Empire State Plaza, a modernised complex housing museums, and cultural institutions.

The Albany Institute of History & Art showcases the region’s rich heritage through its extensive collection of artworks and historical artefacts, while the Palace Theatre hosts a diverse array of live performances, from Broadway shows to concerts and comedy acts. The city’s culinary scene reflects its diverse population and vibrant food culture. Visitors can explore a variety of dining options, from upscale restaurants serving gourmet cuisine to casual eateries offering international flavours and local specialities.
