Stretching out from Manhattan, along the Atlantic coast is Long Island, home not least to JFK Airport itself. Just 118 miles long and 20 miles wide you are never far from the beach, golf, family fun, and shopping. Whether you choose a barefoot walk on the beach…an adventuresome climb atop a famous lighthouse …an afternoon sampling the latest vintages at a local vineyard, visiting the stately halls and gardens of the Gold Coast mansions, challenging yourself with a round at a championship golf course…or enjoying the many cultural and historic treasures Long Island has it all.

The Hamptons, especially, are the manicured playground of many of America’s rich and famous. A little bit like Beverly Hills meets New England! The coastal towns that make up the Hamptons are elegant and sophisticated with golf courses, white sand beaches, vineyards, sprawling estates, and impressive mansions.

Make time to explore Gatsby’s Gold Coast of the island where many of the ‘Gold Coast’ mansions immortalized in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s book, “The Great Gatsby” are located and open for visitors to enjoy.

Hauppauge

Just an hours drive from New York City, Hauppauge is a small hamlet on Long Island. Get away from the city and relax in Hauppauge. You can tour charming wineries – there are more than 35 in the area.

Spend the day on Jones Beach Island where you can surf, swim bike, or just stroll along the boardwalk. Explore the Hamptons for the day and the other quaint villages in the area. Enjoy a round of golf at the 18 hole championship golf course.
