Tuckamore Lodge is located on the banks of Tuckamore Pond, fringed by spruce forest, in the coastal community of Main Brook. Sitting in the north of Newfoundland's northern peninsula, it is surrounded by majestic wildlife and close to the Viking Trail. This rustic lodge sits 20 minutes from St. Anthony Airport and a five hour drive from Deer Lake.
This intimate lodge accommodates just eight guestrooms, ensuring the finest personalised service. Tuckamore Lodge's philosophy is that you are a guest rather than a visitor. Each room is individually furnished with a typical Scandinavian-style, offering either a queen or twin beds, pine walls, hardwood floors and en-suite bathrooms.
A perfect base for exploration, there are a number of heritage and hiking trails starting at Main Brook. Journey outdoors and search for the moose, caribou and black bears who roam the area in great numbers, take a whale watching excursion, fish the salmon rich waters or kayak into the wilderness for close up views of the whales and icebergs. Dining at the Lodge has an emphasis on traditional Newfoundland recipes and utilises local ingredients. Other amenities at the Lodge include a sauna, hot tub, billiards room, library, fitness room and a relaxing guest lounge.
