Day 1

Arrive Washington, DC

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Washington Dulles International Airport. Upon arrival, transfer independently to the Fairmont, located in the Georgetown district. Here quaint boutiques, galleries and cafes are reminiscent of a small town rather than a large city, yet the iconic attractions of the capital city are only a short distance away.

We’ve allowed two full days for you to experience this vibrant and historical city. If time allows, discover the city’s eclectic neighbourhoods, boutique and designer shopping, live music venues showcasing rock, jazz, R&B and reggae, sensational theatre productions and array of delicious eateries.

The famous UNESCO World Heritage site is an architectural masterpiece. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy kayaking the James or Rivanna, hiking miles of wilderness trails or peddling miles of bike trails and quiet country roads. Visitors love the orchards along those roads, overflowing with strawberries, cherries, peaches, apples and of course grapes. Many choose to enjoy a tour and tasting at one of more than 20 vineyards along the Monticello Wine Trail.
