I’m Interested…

Dallas, Fort Worth & Grapevine

Welcome to “The City” in the Southwest. Whether you are looking for great hotels, dining experiences, sporting events, or more… Dallas is full of BIG personalities and it shows in more than a dozen entertainment districts. There’s plenty of time to explore them all… It is also a glittering city full of spectacular architecture and is one of the world’s best shopping destinations. Dallas may have a reputation for glitz and glamour, but there’s plenty to experience without breaking the bank.

Fort Worth is known as the city of cowboys and just a 30-minute drive from Dallas. Fort Worth is full of unparalleled Western heritage, great architecture, cultural institutions, diverse restaurants, and exciting nightlife. The heart of downtown is Sundance Square, a 35-block shopping and entertainment district where charming, beautifully restored buildings stand alongside glittering skyscrapers. Here, you’ll find locals, restaurants, shops, galleries and performance venues.

Once home to cowboys, cattlemen, and outlaws, today the Stockyards National Historic District is one of the most popular attractions in Texas. It’s well worth the visit to get the true cowboy feel.

Things to do in Dallas

If you are planning a shopping spree, make sure you stop at the Galleria Dallas – shop till you drop with fantastic shops, restaurants and an indoor ice skating rink. If you prefer an outdoor atmosphere visit West Village, the genuine in-town neighbourhood which has also become one of the city’s top landmark destinations.

Dallas restaurants are more than the Texan favourites of steak houses, barbecue and Tex Mex. Food is their passion and they will surprise you with fresh seafood, eclectic bistros and fantastic worldly cuisines.

If you are looking for nightlife and fun make sure you make a stop on Greenville Avenue, one of the most popular neighbourhoods with the highest concentration of bars.

When it comes to sightseeing, visit the Dallas World Aquarium, or the Arboretum and Botanic Garden, George w. Bush Presidential Center and the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, located at the very spot from which Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly shot John F. Kennedy.

Maybe catch a home game of the Dallas Cowboys, (American Football) the Dallas Mavericks (Basketball) or the Texas Rangers (Baseball).

The City of Dallas Golf Program has an 89 year tradition of quality and affordable golf. Dallas’ six award-winning 18-hole courses challenge the skills of expert and novice players alike.

And of course while in Dallas make sure you take a trip out to Southfork and see what JR is up to these days…

Things to do in Fort Worth

Make sure that you stop at Billy Bob’s Texas, the world’s largest Honkytonk. Visit the cultural district – In a single, park-like setting, you can span virtually the entire history of art, from priceless antiquities to Impressionist milestones to modern artworks. While you are in this area of town be sure to visit Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, the Fort Worth Zoo and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.

Why not grab a spot on the downtown sidewalk and watch the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive. Clad in authentic Western clothing from saddles to chaps, teams of real cowhands drive longhorns through the Stockyards on Exchange Avenue.

Experience Grapevine

Historic Grapevine, is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth, and makes a wonderful choice if you dont want a big city experience. You can step back in time in Historic Downtown Grapevine with its collection of charming shops, restaurants, and art galleries. There are great attractions for the entire family. Unleash your inner LEGO® maniac at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center or feed friendly stingrays at SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium. There are also exquisite winery tasting rooms, fabulous shopping options, outstanding dining at over 200 restaurants, a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities and more.
