    Day 01

    Arrive Jacksonville

    Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Jacksonville. Upon arrival, transfer independently to your hotel the Jekyll Island Club, a beautiful resort off Georgia’s historic South-Eastern coast.

    Day 02

    Jekyll Island

    With over eight miles of beaches, 63 holes of golf and a myriad of cycling and hiking trails, Jekyll Island is a great place for outdoor adventure. Spend your day exploring before returning to the hotel to meet with your travelling companions for a welcome reception. Enjoy dinner at your leisure.

    Day 03

    St. Simons Islands & Savannah

    Today you commence your adventure with a tour to Jekyll Island’s 240 acre historical district which includes stops at Faith Chapel and Rockefeller’s Indian Mound. Following a visit to St Simons Island it’s on to Savannah where your hotel is located in the restored historic district. This evening’s highlight is a traditional dinner 45 Bistro.

    Day 04

    Savannah

    Accompanied by a local expert, today is dedicated to discovering Savannah. Board the ships of the Sea Maritime Museum and see the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the girl scouts of the USA. The remainder of today is free for you to explore this historic, Deep South city and perhaps sample local culinary delicacies.

    Day 05

    Fort Pulaski & Hilton Head Island

    En route to Hilton Head Island, take in a historic view of Fort Pulaski National Monument. The scenery changes as you head along the rugged southern coastline of South Carolina. Hilton Head Island is one of the state's premier beach resorts and borders the unspoilt marine estuaries of the eastern coast.  After tonight's dinner, you'll be taken on a journey through the roots of Gullah Culture with folktales from a local story teller.

    Day 06

    Beaufort & Charleston

    Known as the queen of the Carolina Sea Islands, this morning is spent in the city of Beaufort. Rich with history and culture it boasts quaint shops, historic homes and scenic waterfront charm. A private harbour cruise this afternoon brings centuries of Charleston’s maritime history to life.

    Day 07

    Charleston

    Following a morning sightseeing tour with highlights which include pre-Revolutionary war buildings and graceful antebellum homes, you have the remainder of today at your leisure. We suggest visiting some of Charleston’s art galleries and taking a historic horse drawn carriage ride.

    Day 08

    Historic Plantations

    An early start this morning as you tour some of the finest 17th and 18th Century gardens and plantation homes, one of which is at Drayton Hall, a plantation built in 1738, where a knowledgeable guide takes you behind the scenes to see centuries of history come alive. Walk through America’s oldest landscaped gardens at the 18th Century Middleton Place, the grandest of Ashley River Plantations and visit the stable yards. This evening share a farewell dinner with your new-found friends.

    Day 09

    Journey Home

    Spend your final morning in Charleston, perhaps shopping for souvenirs before heading to the airport for flight back to the UK.
