Whether you are looking for a short break to enjoy some winter sunshine, taking a couple of days for some fun in the desert or you are going to spend your entire two week vacation here, Las Vegas is a 'must see' destination.

Not only do we know Las Vegas, we know the very best of Las Vegas, and we want you to get to know it too...we know you will enjoy the experience. Marvel at the dancing waters on the lake at Bellagio or the erupting volcano at Mirage. Take a gondola ride along the Grand Canal at The Venetian or just sit back and enjoy the view from your room at Wynn Las Vegas. This really is a destination like no other.

    • Top Tip 1

Make sure you allow a couple of hours to include Hoover Dam in your itinerary. Take one of the guided tours deep down into the dam to see it from the inside and learn how it was built.

    • Top Tip 2

There's no denying that Vegas is the heartbeat of Nevada. Wander up and down 'The Strip' and experience the free shows put on by many hotels. Bellagio's dancing waters, ti Treasure Island's Sirens & Pirates, Mirage's erupting Volcano! Yes, it would only be Las Vegas!

    • Top Tip 3

When you're in Las Vegas, visit downtown one evening to see the laser light show on Fremont Street.

    • Top Tip 4

Take a Maverick Helicopter night flight over The Strip in Las Vegas. The 12 minute flight is the best way to see the spectacle of neon lights.

    • Top Tip 5

Treat yourself to dinner at the three Michelin Star Joel Robuchon restaurant at MGM Grand, but book well ahead, especially if you're there over a weekend (and be sure to arrange for them to send their gold stretched limousine to collect you from your hotel).

    • Top Tip 6

If you're driving to Las Vegas from Los Angeles along I-15, stop in at Peggy Sue's Diner. Enjoy homemade food in surroundings that will take you back to the movie and television era of the 50s. It's great fun.

    • Top Tip 7

Include Lake Tahoe in your itinerary. Incline Village on the Nevada side of the lake is wonderful any time of year with great skiing in the winter and beautiful golf and lake activities in the summer... oh, and spectacular scenery year round.

    • Top Tip 8

For the best value, plan your stay in Las Vegas for Sunday through Thursday nights - the hotels offer great deals for midweek stays and everything is quieter too.

    • Top Tip 9

The roads in Las Vegas are always busy so, if you don't want to walk miles, the best way to get up and down The Strip is to use the monorail system with stops at all the major hotel.
