You'll feel right at home in vibrant, expansive Edmonton. The city is always celebrating something and has more than 50 festivals throughout the year.

The historic Old Strathcona district has a neighborhood feel, with its galleries and shops and its famous farmers market.

There are twenty-two major parks that make up Edmonton’s ribbon of green stretching along the North Saskatchewan River. You may wish to visit Fort Saskatchewan, one of the smaller downtown parks overlooking the river.

Spend some time at West Edmonton Mall, the largest indoor shopping and entertainment complex in North America which boasts 800+ shops and services, a waterpark, skating rink, marine park, hotel and the world’s biggest indoor amusement park.

Visit Alberta Legislature - a beautiful colonial-style building dating back to 1911. Free tours are available. There are wading pools to cool off in during the summer and skating rinks beside walkways in the wintertime.

Join the costumed historical interpreters at Fort Edmonton Park, Canada's largest living history museum, and try your hand at living life as an early pioneer. You'll experience life as it was at the 1846 fort.

Elk Island National Park of Canada is less than 20 minutes east of the city. Visitors can see over 40 species of mammals including plains and wood bison, elk and moose; and over 250 species of birds.
